Strange issues tonight anyone?
« on: January 25, 2009, 09:33:28 PM »
Just wondering if anyone experienced the same?

-bombs that land 'nowhere'
-vox going out constantly.
-aircraft taking off from the ocean 200 yards behind the cv
-planes flying past you, 5 seconds later you hear 'ping ping ping'
-chat window lag
-bullets that seemingly have no effect, next sorte 2 rounds explode a bomber like a cv gun?

I checked my net status- looks fine.  No planes warping.

Seems like it's not a connection issue, more of a ah2 server issue?  Numbers WERE high tonight...glad to see it!  Just hope they beef these servers up to handle it now..

In Orange vox failed repeatedly. resetv worked for me but not others
Logged to improve it
Forced into blue because Orange has 384/300 but blue has ENY of 27
I shoot cons but I do not see the flashes for hits
I attack cons but see no hits and when I get close to fire they are 'firing at me' but I am behind them not in front?
No problems with bombs or rockets
Radar shows no enemy dot yet I have a con on my nose
I dont fire but enemy does I hear no hits but I lose a gun and an elevator (con dies when I reverse on his HO) this time I see flashes
I hit tanks from 4k with three rounds but dont even get assist when he dies (I know the difference between hit and ricochet)
Vox was fine in Blue for more then two hours
Squaddies report to me I am not warping at all
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

I had some problems today, but I think it has to do with the DNS servers near HTC's servers.  If you run PingPlotter, you'll notice there is tons of packet loss from ATT's servers, roughly 5% across them all.  I'm from Corvallis, OR so you might be seeing different information than I am, but it is interesting to see.

During Sunday night Scramble, my wingman got a 1 hit kill in a G14 without the 30mm package. I unloaded on a ponies tail but it had no affect, he successfully ran away  :(

I saw strange things as well.  Fired at incoming low buffs with manned ack on vehicle field (no other ack up, no one else around) and saw no hits.  Then, all at once, two of his buffs took damage and went down like all my hits registered late at once.  Also, I couldn't get into AvA without losing UDP even though PingPlotter to .38 or .41 looked fine.

TxMom and I noticed hearing tanks explode on our base when they were being killed by friendly tanks near another vbase.

This stuff seems to be the norm anymore. My net status is always a series of dots anymore, instead of the solid line I used to get.Early in the mornings things are just fine . But get a couple hundred on and game play goes to crap. We had about 15 guys on for squad nite and after the 2nd sortie we all called it a night. This ain't from tonite. Tonights was twice this bad.
Lighten up Francis

There's been some DNS DDoS attacks been going on lately, wonder if thats it.

Really?  That's interesting, do they know anything about the attacks?  Is it causing DNS server crashes or just clogging them up?
