Field capture too easy

Yes, it's true.  The only map where field capture is not always too easy is Mindanao.

What proof do I have?  The fact that "Lake Shaw" is fairly close to being reset and has been in use less than 12 hours.  IMO something needs to be done to keep fields from being captured so quickly.  No map should be in reset territory in 10 hours of play.

Absolutely right, it does require a "gangbang" to reset the map so quickly.  Fact is though the bases are too easy to capture.

Just wanted to chime in with it's a pleasure to finally see J_A_B say something is "too easy"   :D

How can it be too easy to capture fields on one map and not the other when fields have the same layouts on all maps?

I think what it really comes down to is that, for some reason, Mindanao doesn't inspire team cooperation.

Okay, I re-state myself.  Field capture is too easy period.  Only reason Mindanao lasts longer is lack of cooperation.

I wonder what can be done to slow down the field capture process.   Making the town tougher to destroy may work, along with providing more acks in the town.

My two cents would be less towns, further apart from each other.  How can you intercept an enemy raid when it is coming from "25 miles" out?  I think it just adds to the furballing and lack of strat.  Why not space em out more, and make 'heading into enemy territory' more of a decision rather than the only choice you have.  I find it nearly as likely to get jumped by 20 nme planes over my own back cities as it is over nme airspace!  If some guys want to furball, just send them to ct or something like that.

Field layouts are the same, but Mindanao is much less symmetric than the other maps.  Quick resets are usually the result of 2v1 gang bangs.  One the Mindanao map, the NW country will never be ganged, because of the narrow access route.

It might be interesting to turn sector counters off for one rotation of the Mindanao map, and see if attacks on the NW would be more common.  (It is pointless to bomb HQ to disable dar prior to an attack, since resupply is so easy.)
