I've paid so little attention this year. When is the Superbowl? It must be close. Every series I watched this week was about Football, Monk, Psyche, and Burn Notice. Did the Bears and Patriots field a team this year?
GetBack the SB is today.  :P

Yeah, I asked my mom.  :rofl :rofl Not sure if I will watch it or not. I may just watch some Clint Eastwood or Arnold Swartzeneger movies.

(looks around... am I allowed to say that in Texas?)

My son will watch whatever is left of it after we get home from church.

I predict the Steelers defense will put a cheap shot on either Warner,Boldin,or Fitzgerald without a flag, and the announcers will call it "good hard football".

You were right. They didn't call holding on Warner where there should have been, when the guy ran 100yds for a TD.

Halftime show did suck. He should have had an oxygen tank out there, with all that running and jumping around.

Pretty good game. Didnt do half bad on my prediction either.

Cards got robbed on the non call on the last play though.
His arm was clearly going forward
In fact he forced it through the defender hand to make it go forward

Ok a couple of years ago I predicted that the Bears would be the worst team in history to make the superbowl (and loose)
I was right
Last year I predicted that the Patriots would be the greatest team in Superbowl history to loose the Superbowl.
I was right again.

This year all indicators are that the Steelers should win and by no small margin.
But I think they will still win but in a much tighter fashion.
I call it
A fairly close game with the MVP not being among your usual suspects.
Meaning it wont be the QB or Superstar receiver.

Well you are not correct. Do you decide the Bears were the worst team to make the Superbowl. Look at the 85 patriots. They were worse than the 2007 Bears. As far as the Patriots  being the greatest Team to lose the Superbowl? Get real. The aging team was far from being the best to lose a Superbowl. Look at the Jim Kelly days of the lost Superbowls and look at their talent. Season stats and  on paper personnel makes the arguably the best team ever to lose a Superbowl and it happened more than 1 time. So get off your high horse Dred and think a few years back... LOL    :furious :furious :furious :furious :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

I predict this will be the last time a 30-sec hard porn clip is aired live during superbowl commercials.  :salute

I remember the 85 Patriots I predicted to a Patriot fan in outside a restroom at the Hollywood dog track in Hollywood Fla. That they would loose the SB at that time also.
Most recent Bears team was a terrible team having won more of their games through sheer luck, or because the other team wanted to loose more
(Vikings/ Bears soldier feild is a great example) then anything else.
And consider this. They were 13-3 and won the NFC North.but the rest of the division was just 17-31.
NE wasnt a great team either in 85. but durig the regular season they still played better then the Bears.
And remember the 85 NE team played against the 85 Bears team. Which IMO is one of the greatest NFL teams ever fielded.

You may have a point about NE. but they still went the entire season undefeated. only to loose the superbowl to IMO a lessor Giants team (In 2007, there were 10 teams with an equal or better record than that of the 10-6 New York Giants.  One of those teams was the Cleveland Browns.)
The Kellly lead Bills teams were great for sure. You could also include the 1977 Denver Broncos
Or a couple of the Viking teams.
Point is though no other team ever went undefeated only to loose the Superbowl.
I'd have to look it up. But I dont think a team with only 1 regular season loss has ever lost the Superbowl.
