Friendly game of Euchre on Yahoo to pass the time?

I'm in beginner lounge 6 since at this time of night no one is in there.  Gonna start a table and go smoke a cig and see if anyone shows up.  CPID is i_am_the_liquor.

If you're playing Euchre.. you're probably in the midwest... the rest of the country plays "hearts."

Euchre rocks, especially playing alone as opposed to partners.

You are absolutely correct Shane.  It seems that if you're not from the upper midwest U.S., Ontario, or NZ/AU you have no clue what euchre is.  We also have this great game called cribbage. :D

I tried to play last night Tec but was having some java problems on my laptop and couldn't figure it out before I started to get really sick and had to go to urgent care today.

I love euchre.  When I was a kid my parents would never let me play but I would sit at the table and watch.  I use to play alot on yahoo but haven't for some time now.

From Nebraska and Euchre is a VERY popular game here I prefer 5 handed -call your partner because you can piss off alot of people. :D Pinochle is probably a close second followed by Cribbage. When I was in the Navy the big game was Spades.


Of course there are MANY PROFESSIONAL Hold em players now as there is all over the place. All you need is some sunglasses and your latest copy of Phil Helmuths book and you can't be beat! :rofl :rofl

Euchre is big in western New York as well (Buffalo, Rochester, out to Syracuse)  As soon as you hit Cuse' though, it immediately disappears...and people look at you like you have 3 heads.

problem with the yahoo euchre is....if you order you're partner up...you're not automatically going alone.
