Vox - trouble hearing
« on: February 02, 2009, 04:04:29 AM »
I have trouble hearing voice over vox especially flying bombers or driving treaded vehicles. I would like to seperate the two and play game sounds over my sound card and then either use onboard sound (although I dread the idea) or another sound card for vox. This is what is done in FSX on vatsim and I am wondering if it is possible in AH or is it something for the wishlist?
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

Sounds like the wishlist to me. It was asked for last month I believe. Would take some heavy searching to find the thread, though.

I've turned all of the game sounds down to around 30. Then I can bump up the main volume on my computer. Vox is loud enough to hear, while game sounds aren't blowing my head off.

You can alter the voice settings to quiet down your game sounds anytime someone transmits (tuned vox or range vox).  I've got it set so the game sounds are barely audible while someone is talking.  It automatically goes back to normal volume after the vox transmission ends.
