Some of the stuff I post may be off the wall at times, but I still try to inject a little bit of truth in every post (most of the time). It may not be explicit, but it is there. Most of the time it's a reaction to the society we live in.

You're a self-admitted troll.  Trolls NEVER add anything of substance since their whole intent is to enflame.  If you do on occasion add something of substance it is lost in the sea of BS.

No I'm not a troll. I am a self admitted quirky person. I approach things from a different point of view than most of you. I hate the status-quo and try to work around it. That's the way I've always been. I like to have fun.

It's so LAME that most here are so uptight and take life on this BBS way too seriously. This should be an escape from reality and stresses of daily life. It's a place where imagination can run wild. This is not real life, therefore why even treat it like it is? It's the internet for god's sake. Anyone can be anything here. That is how I view this game and this forum.

Some kind of cred or safe stability.. I don't know exactly. People don't like upsets and constant flux. They like to settle down.. What is a 2 day old joint worth, versus a 2 year old place where you've been having conversations and have built a kind of history?  You wouldn't mind anything in the former, but the latter has value not worth risking over some flames. "something to lose".

The Beauty of the FW is the fact I can get into the same type of arguements/debates with the same people there as I used to here.
The history is already in place. For me its really just an extension of this place. Just in a different tab.
The only real difference is the rules, or lack thereof as the case may be.
I dont think having anything to loose has anything to do with it.
I think people ran amuk for a while because they could. Like a kid set loose in a candy store. After a while the candy looses its appeal and instead of constantly gorging himself. He just has a piece here and there.

I think the fact that there isnt anything to loose by running amuk makes it loose it appeal and causes folks to settle down.
Its like the forbidden fruit here. Therefore because they have something to loose. they have to push the limits to walk the line and see just how far they can go. Once the forbidden fruit is no longer forbidden. It looses its appeal.

Either way. post here, post there. It doesnt matter to me. Either is  just a tab click away. And I find folks no more or less thought provoking, entertaining or annoying there then I found or find them here.
the only real difference between FW and The O'club now is the subject matter I talk about. And in some cases. not even that.
So for me I've lost nothing.
If anything lost. It been the O'club itself. It lost alot of the flavor that made it great.
But the powers that be want a more bland place to be. kinda like mashed potatoes without any toppings.
But thats the way they want it and I respect them enough to respect that wish.
And hey. Even mashed potatoes without topping isnt too bad once in a while.

Ok, so it's a big complexion but it still starts with "something to lose" :) The candy analogy is nice but the truth is that people run out of funny things to do or say or trick others into saying, and so they're stuck with making good points. At that point it's back to square one and your ability to hold a conversation is directly related to how credible (or how interesting) what you're expected to say is.  At the very extreme end of this, you get ignored.
Fruit and candy analogy breaks down because forums like fw aren't about someone taking something but about people bringing something. The forum is a blank canvas, not a horn of plenty to get stuffed with.
