Major problem with Game

I was in a middle of a sortie and the screen went white with only a few things i could make out.  It was the text buffer and how many rounds of ammo I had left.  Everything else was bright white.  I ALT F4 to get out and when I click to get back to the game from desktop menu this is what I see.

I have completely reinstalled game and this still happens to me

Try removing the "video8.cfg" file and see if that fixes the problem.
The file is located in the AH settings folder.

When you restart the game, the file will rebuild itself.... BTW what the heck causes that?

ty marshal. That seemed to have worked. What the heck is that file anyways.

The file contains the video settings for the game.  The "white-out" is usually the gamma slider being used on a card which does not have proper support for gamma changes.  Or if you move the slider too fast, too far.
