More realistic looking water
« on: February 06, 2009, 09:57:43 AM »
I wish we had more realistic looking water.  This would add more and better immersion to the game.

Hey!  at least this way I feel like our ideas are being seriously considered  :aok

HTC must have a psychic working for them. They knew you were going to ask so they granted your wish before you even asked.  :P

It would be cool, if the ability to turn off the animation for the water, for those of us that have dinosaur comps.

That may take a few more months or years of work to get crashing waves but hey, it would be nice.

It's already possible to do something like that in games (Il-2 does it). However implementing it in a way that doesn't require a hefty system is another matter entirely.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Heh, mine isn't hefty, yet I can play IL-2 at the Highest Quality I know how to set. Still, the planes just don't feel right.
