*S* BISH - Nice listening in to our missions.
« on: February 06, 2009, 11:24:13 PM »
Funny, several missions out in the middle of nowhere and suddenly from nowhere, here come enemy aircraft.

Later someone private voices me from Jokers Joker I think he said (whatever that is) saying I shouldn't be on their channel.  I chatted him and explained that we must have had bleed through, switched back to our mission channel and asked if he could hear me and did not receive a response.  He was pretty irate thinking I was spying.

So I'm still wondering how THAT happened.  Unless maybe he was in on our channel?  Can people listen in to another channel from another side?

OK SO LATER, we decide to do a fighter sweep from a random base.  We broadcast it several times telling the BISH to grow a pair and meet us high in the sky.

Midway to the base or 'area of operation' , we are met with TONS of aircraft.  190 at first, then a 51, then about 5-10 others...then 20...then 30.  Well I think we all did pretty good.

That was us in the c205s btw,  and no i wouldn't not suggest using the default conv on these aircraft fyi as they drop too soon for deflection...BUT that's not the point I'm making here.

ALL in all it was fun in the end, frustrating in the beginning that people were blatantly listening to us.

-We had a goon SITTING THERE telling us where he was sitting for a LONG time, as soon as he states that, two enemy air (LA and 109) fly around him and find him, shooting him on the ground.
-Multiple goon missions thwarted, several flyers flying  in a group obviously scouting our mission.
-We take off from a totally different field, fly WAY out of the way intentional to prove this point, and of course - here come 5 or so enemy air to take down our NOE mission..
I can go on and on about instances.  3 goons in different locations, each one specifically hunted down in remote areas by multiple enemy aircraft.  Very concerted effort that I've NEVER seen before.

All in all it was about 10 missions tonight where it seemed like they KNEW we were coming.  The only time we were successful was when I flew a goon low and didn't talk until the town was down.

As fun as that high alt meet and greet way, that was pretty pathetic to listen in and even if it were a bug, not to alert someone to this.

OH well. Such is the $$$ machine that has become Aches & High 2

I will second this. I was a participant in many of these missions (as well as yelling at the spy, we all know you were listening) and I can say we we're definitely ratted out by a spy. And not a country spy, a Radio spy deliberately using bleed over. I want to know who these guys are, so I can recommend them for some training. You guys can't hit bullpucky. :rofl

^^^^Said the bish^^^^^

yea we were outnumbered several times and totally dominated.  Pretty fun racking up the perkies!

I tried to play nice and just help those that needed it but had to take a few shots there at the end hehe.

F4U got me in the end. None of the -51's or Spitfires landed a single ping, not even the MANY 190A-series! They really, and I mean REALLY need some aiming practice. Oh, and by the way, we ended up driving ALL of those bastards about 2.5K below the majority of us, enjoying a significant advantage most of the fight. I easily avoided those bish pony drivers. They even suck when the HO.

Any numbered VOX or text channel from 200 and above will be open to all countries. If you use it for a mission and get intercepted its your own stupidity. If you go above 500ft and someone sees a dar bar in that sector and flies around to check it out doesn't mean they're spying. It means you screwed up. Just because you get intercepted doesn't mean someone is spying on you. I remember once going ahead of my squaddies to knock out a radar before they got there and found a niki/110 mission rolling. I followed them and in a few minutes had my squaddies and about ten other countrymen swarming them. I suggest editing your posts while you can because posting what you did just makes you look like a whining cry baby whose night didn't go his way.

NO!!!!!!!!! It's all in good fun.
Just want to know the full rules before I play a game that's all.  Thought I understood what was and what wasn't.  We joked about a spy for awhile then one mission in particular is where we realize that there actually was something wrong.  Shortly after I received the personal voice so OBVIOUSLY THERE WAS a bleed through.

Hey I still had fun!  Better than work.  Bit frustrating to find out that we have technical issues in this game that completely go unaddressed ...constantly. (Cough invincible p51 that didn't exist until a patch was released 6 months later)....

Locking threads were no one is allow to express dissatisfaction with a bug in a game or a method of gaming the game is pretty lame.  Usually the sign of a major decline for a game (ie: wwiionline)

ch183

and we are talking 50+ fighters meeting at almost the exact altitude we stipulated on our channel.

Oh another instance in a film I call the 'cho cho' because , well I landed near the train tracks.  I knew the mission was bust and said "guys I'm here in a goon waiting west of their base near the train tracks" ..1 minute later 3 airplanes flying STRAIGHT for the tracks ..bam..dead.

Sorry, efficiency like that is not possible without bleed through or direct spying.  And I can vouch for every single person on that channel tonight.

Are we capable of playing two systems from one IP address?  If so I wonder if some folks grab 2 weekers to go with their reg accounts and spy in.  I bet if HT would check for this (which would be easy), this will eliminate a large portion of the spying.  I can't imagine how else it's really being effective other than a couple friends working opposite sides for each other...but hey I could be wrong...

Was fun either way.
I think it was the Knights though.
It was the most blatant case of spying I have ever
encountered!  The Knits must be desperate.
Either that, or they have a weak player base
and are just trying to amount to something.

Anyway, when we knew were being monitored we
set out to launch a huge fighter sweep in C.205's
and, naturally, we were met by a large group of
opposing planes.  And no, it wasn't a coincidence
silly rabbit.  We knew we were being monitored and
set out to prove it..and did so on multiple occasions.
Only this time we decided to have fun with it and
post a fighter sweep mission that we knew would
have significant opposition.

Turned out to be a huge aerial battle at 20K
even though it was, *cough*, arranged.

Lotsa fun!

The majority of our opponents were the
Pigs on a Wing who were the first to meet
us at our altitude.  Other players followed but the
Pigfs were the majority of our opponents.
Not accusing anyone...just saying is all.  :uhoh

Now if only the "Pigs On The Wing" had brought up some
allied fighters it would have been like a real WWII
matchup.  Us in our 21 C.205's and you in your
allied planes...but sadly, it wasn't to be.
The kitchen sink came up to meet us.

Well, I didn't expect much...but at least
you gave us a good fight and you are on our radar
now and we will meet again! ;)

The screenies do it absolutely no justice.

Yes, it is possible to play AH from one IP, I used to play AH with my nephew near by on the same connection. Once in a while, I'd hear comms meant for him and vice versa. The biggest problems occurred when I gunned for his A20, it would often give me the 'gunner stuck underground' bug.

Either way, I think you are being paranoid about this.

Nah Del, he's not.
It was obvious tonight.

I may have doubted that the practice was widespread but
tonight's episodes were so blatant, repeated and directed that
they could have not been chance encounters.

But hey, I don't really care.  Their loss I figure.

When the Knits start spying, we just attack the Bish
and vice-versa.  We only stayed with it tonight
because we wanted to use their spying to orchestrate
a big furball...which we did.

More of a one-sided ass-kicking than a furball for a good part of the fight, though. :aok
