The AvA arena is fubar every tuesday because it shares the same server as the main arena.

This is most disheartening. Mondays and wednesdays maybe? What about leaving the planeset open for a couple of weeks to see if they would attract more people after some advertising of it? If theres a substantial amount of people to justify leaving it open then do it. This event change every friday but different planeset almost every day really gets annoying. That's what keeps me out of there now. Need to make a map ( learning this at the moment ) that every set can use and both sides can take advantage of with both cv's,gv's and air for a full fledged fight. Just not spitty vs.pony, ki vs. 109. Trying to make it so there's not alot of bases, each side has a bit more advantage to their historical stuff they had.  This is where the lack of modeled vehicles hits the ava and special events arenas right in the *&^K. Well, if theres ever an open set that has some people in it i'll be zipping around in there. <S> for at least bringing it up.

The AvA is setup for historical setups not what you are suggesting. That kind of thing would be for the SEA arenas.

So at any given time to see an open planeset per side I should go to a special events arena is what you are saying?
The ava would be more appropriate no?

SEA2 is open for that kinda stuff. PM one of the CMs and give them your idea and I'm betting they'll do it. The AvA is setup for week long historical events. They have done what you are asking before but it dint see much interest. And as someone else said when ever TT is up it screws with the AvA. Most of us have given up flying in there on Tuesdays because you lose UDP right as you enter and your vox doesn't work.

Looking at the names o the arenas i'd expect them to be the opposite. If it's no good to go in there during TT then it's kind of a bust for the ava to even try going beyond special events.  Weird setup here.
