Screen Shots Need help
« on: February 08, 2009, 10:11:37 AM »
Ok this is my problem. I take screen shots using ALT-S. From that point on I am lost. Where does the picture go so I can view it or download it on my computer. I have searched the film viewer but there is nothing there. So where do I go.

If you are using XP, your screenshots are located in your Aces High program folder. Standard location would be c:\program files\HTC\Aces High II

for people using Windows XP, you will find them in the C:\programfiles\HTC\AcesHighII\  folder

listed as ahss0.bmp, ahss1.bmp, ahss2.bmp

for people using Windows Vista

best I could tell you is do a file search  searching for files listed as ahss.bmp

this should show you what directory they are placed in

wow, Lusche , you type fast........

also some people do not put Aces High in the program files,  as with me, mine is located in

C:\HTC\AcesHighII\  folder    on Windows XP

"When one considers just what they should say to a new pilot who is logging in Aces High, the mind becomes confused in the complex maze of info it is necessary for the new player to know. All of it is important; most of it vital; and all of it just too much for one brain to absorb in 1-2 lessons" TC

It doesn't jam the folder full of BMP's if you hit the print screen button does it?

I better check.  I HATE having all kinds of junk on my boot/app drive.

If it does can you re-target the destination folder?

Print screen just puts one screenshot in your windows clipboard, a temporary file only. The next screenshot taken that way overwrites it.

The AH screenshots that are stored in the folder are made with ALT-S

In my opinion, this is the worst way to take screenshots (unless you're just trying to get the text buffer or something).

Record what you wish to get a screenshot of (using Alt+R) and use the Print Screen key you have found the perfect frame you want in the film and have set it to full-screen mode.

This way you can adjust zoom, angles, perspective etc etc.

That will leave you with the option to get shots like this:
