But they are much slower and the M16s may hit them easier and faster.

Nope... on the deck, Ju88 is faster and climbs better. Its very easy to climb just outside the effective range of the M16, which do lack the concentrated firepower & range to blast the buffs before being carpeted themselves.

I'll be there but hope we have some airpower. GV's are easy marks for an unopposed airforce.  :salute

Formations of Ju88's with 4x1100lbs isn't much different from Lancs in that regard. ;)
Except it was actually designed to be used as a dive bomber :)

I think he means that as far as a ground mission attempting to give its participants a good time (without more than M16s for AA) goes, carpet bombing in the MA with Ju88s carrying 4klbs x 3 is no different from lancs.

I am hoping to be there, but expect me to fly fighter support. I am just fodder in a gv.

Just so everyone knows, the fighter slots will be filled on
a first come, first served basis and there are only a
limited number of fighter openings.

I want this to be primarily a ground vehicle assault
and will setup the missions to achieve this result.

So if you want a fighter, be quick to join the mission
when its posted!

Sounds like a good time.  One question though, normally the bombing runs are good for an extended period of time, a GV raid will provide a capture within a few min.  Will you have a second or third base mapped out to continue the fight?

True. Hopefully it will just give that WWII feel to it. Hopefully there will be a nice GV battle and a historical air battle (Ju87s and Ju88s, maybe even 110C's?).
