I wouldn't mind seeing her added, but she'd have a VERY limited utility in the mains.

Anyway, the early-war Japanese plane set is in DESPERATE need of additions. We only have one EW IJN/IJAAF fighter, (Zero) which is inappropriate for a large number of early-war scenarios (Zeros did NOT see action against the AVG in China). We don't have an appropriate EW level-bomber, either.

The Ki-43, Ki-45, A5M and Ki-27 are much more badly needed, as are the G3M, G4M and Ki-21.

The A5M is very similar to the Ki-27 in performance as well.

I hope someday to see a full Japanese planeset like Saxman has posted.

Wasn't the J2M2 a failure? Or was that the J2M3? One had a huge problem with stalls right?

From what I've been able to find the Jack had a much better "survival" (hard to call neg numbers kill to death) % then any other fighter averaging a 1/3 ratio vs the F4U and 3.5/1 vs the F6F (these from another forum so accuracy is not certain)....

I'd love to see the J2M added.  At this point, any Japanese aircraft is a good addition.

We need something like that so we don't always have to take the A6M2 in the EW FSO's.

J2M was a later bird and doesn't belong in EW to begin with. That's why the A5M, Ki-27, Ki-45 and Ki-47 are needed.

I know there are others needed first but another Japanese plane missing from
from the set that should be added is the A6M3 IMO.

Ki-43 should be the next Japanese fighter.  I know it won't have much main arena use, but it's a big one for early war scenarios.

Oscar will be a deadly little sucker in the MA. Exceptionally quick acceleration from 150 to 250 and uber low speed handling will make it a spit/hurricane/nikki killer of the 1st order. I'd assume the late war 20mm option wont be modeled but if it is then it will be a well used plane for base defense.
