Try changing planes.  It's good to keep your skills proficient with all the Tier Two planes in the hangar.  Smacking a Spit16 while you're in a P-51B is pure joy.

Good idea in fact I tried the Pony B, what an assist machine for me.  Tried the Pony D got some kills but all I ended up doing was picking there were a few good fights against like aircraft.  I like the KI84 because its kind of a medium plane, you can do allot of things with it.  Maybe I should try and catch up to someone with more experience in it and get a few pointers.  Good or bad I have the mentality that I can beat any plane in it if I fly it right.  Unfortunately I don't fly it right very often  hehe

2 Was about 7k in a KI84 when I meet up with a Spit16, we bob and weave for a few minutes, really good fight, I'm using the KI's vertical and keeping alt, hes getting slower and lower.  I come down for what I'm sure is my last little swoop and loop before the kill and whats mr 16 do?  He points his nose up just long enough to HO me, fights over.
As far as this fight goes I really wouldn't consider that your standard HO, the HO that's looked down upon as being a lame shot to take would be if you HO the guy on your first merge, after that first merge and your in the dogfight, if he or you get a HO shot while your looping & turning it's a legitimate shot to take, so you can't really get mad at the guy for taking that shot.

Sometimes I just like to fly,
I'll hop in some fast thing and buzz furballs and the like. I land with all the rounds still in the aircraft. I know i'm doing good when I get the, "Hey runstang come back and fight". Sometimes I'm it's just to get you out of the tower, make your base flash or steal your beer!

You know I was reading another thread about HO's and it had some pretty interesting comments in it from HT and PYRO where old AW guys put themselves at a disadvantage not taking certain frontal shots, HT wanted to change the old no HO from AW because he couldn't HO slow birds in his 190 in AW  he he, kinda of opened my eyes to the whole AH HO mentality. I rarely ever take Ho's that's why any HO seems like the end of time.  Somebody said you have to take what the game gives you, maybe that's the answer.
