spawn point issues
« on: February 10, 2009, 08:59:19 PM »
On the map that we have today believe it is trinity the spawn point from 28 north to 83 spawns gvs up on top of the mountain. This just isn't right and needs to be fixed. There is almost no way to hit the guys on the hill. When we had that side of the map i lost allot of perk points due to getting a ditch when i spawed up there then i towered out. This probably isn't a bug but maybe it is and the spawn point needs to be moved further away from the mountain side so it doesn't happen anymore. almost makes me want to get in bomb**** mode but just cant bring myself to be like that would rather just have to problem fixed.

I ended up upping an A20. That mountain was 12-13k high. When the GVers on the bottom aimed up to shoot there was just gun fire and no tanks. Those knits took advantage of it. Lucky for them i'm a bad bomber. I counted 10 GV's onto. And if needed SKuzzy i'll send in my film.

Actually, they were spawning in from 29.

They were able to spawn in, perch on top of the giant 13k cliff, and hit us anywhere within the spawn. (including on the base of the hill that they were perched on, they could shoot straight down and not tumble off.) We couldn't hit them because the cliff is too high; and it seemes whenever we put our turrets on them, they'd disappear, no matter how far we were zoomed in or how far graphics were up. I think the spawn should be moved from off the hill (if possible) because the GVs on top of it are nearly untouchable. Only way to get them was to up a plane and climb for over 20 minutes.

I've been on top and bottom of that situation.

From the top you can sit right at the top of the hill just over the edge facing straight down and fire rounds at the GV's below all day long.  When you're done all you have to do is put it in reverse and back up onto the top.

From below if you can find a little hill to climb the front of your tank onto from the opposite side of the canyon, you can get enough turret elevation to easily kill the guys sitting on the hill.

There's no need to change it.  It adds another element to the game and there's more than one spawn like this.

I guess you like to make an unfair game. Don't think you'd like it if we sat there killing you on top of a hill the hole time we had the map. You cannot see them so you can't shoot and kill the Enemy tanks on top of the hill. This gives them a unfair advantage and seems to people like a cheat, but its just the way the spawn works. It should spawn them on the bottom of the hill.

I guess you missed this part:

The only reason you wouldn't be able to see them is possibly if your graphic slider is set to only 1 mile.

Like baldeagle said, park your tank on a little dirt mound and fire away, i actually enjoy those crooked shots.  I sat there for about 5 minutes the other day and clear the cliff line of about 4 m4's a t34 and a panzer.

So Belial doesn't count as someone?  When I was in the air over that valley I saw plenty of rounds going up at those tanks that "no one" could see.

What computer set ups are u guys running that cant see the tanks.......... I would say "you" can shoot the guys on the hill all day long, but maybe there is only a few of us that can.

I like to clear the ridge its fun.... :devil   that being said.......

Its not a "fair" spawn because  the spawn is split into two positions either one is an automatic  flanking position....   Its rather gamey for guys to sit ontop of a 13k hill while the guys with the bad luck spawn in downbelow... Its gamey as heck and you all that sit up there are tards..... :D
