Weather?
« on: February 11, 2009, 04:43:20 PM »
With the new terrain, do you think HTC could incorporate weather? I know this would destroy frame rate for those with lower end systems but i think it would be cool to see how different conditions would effect the performance of the aircraft.  I know precipitation is unlikely but they need to at least add clouds and fog to the MA.

Rather then weather I would like to see air modeled like wake turbulence so you couldnt just follow entrail the way hoardes do now. NOE would be tough too because following close behind even friendlies would be more dangerous but it would suffer the same problems of adding more graphics.
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

it appears as if they've changed the clouds somewhat. they seem more realistic than they did a few months ago. i flew into one recently, and had cartoon IFR for a few seconds.
on a bombing run, i actually had clouds obscure my targetg enough that a drop was impossible on that particular pass.

a month or so ago, there was ground fog rolled in off the water onto a v-base that we had just re-captured.

i think they're doing little bits n pieces here and there...and doing it very nicely too.

Contrails would be awesome.  I know there is fog and clouds already, i think they just need to beef it up a bit

It's Beavis.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.
