The .f [insert name] command, which lets you find known people wherever they are, and the .p [insert name] command, which lets you send them a message once found, enable you to call friends (enemies, too) and let them know you're in the arena. Some of them, maybe all of them, could be busy doing something else, but others may respond.
Last night, in response to such a call, Oldman22 brought a bunch of his friends over from the Mid-War arena, so that for quite awhile we had a dozen or so people flying FWs and P-47s. Both sides used the air starts up north at A72 and A73, which resulted in mid-altitude fights, a pleasant change from the usual treetop engagements. Thanks very much to all of you, the pilots were uniformly very competent (my smoking plane was proof), the planes are quite evenly matched and the fights were all excellent.
So: Next time you see no people in the arena, sound the hunting horn and wait for a bit to see if anyone responds.
