Odd question (perhaps)
« on: February 14, 2009, 10:28:12 AM »
last night I was in a 109F4, a LA made a head on pass at me and I ducked under, he passed VERY close on my end and I  got a "soinso collided with you"  I took no damage, but I looked back and the LA was missing his ver stab and was spinning wildly firing in all directions..

I watched him go in and pop, hear the boom even..   but yet IU got  no kill message, no assist... nothing..

is that normal? granted I never even fired a shot, but still wouldn't I get a proxy? or is the proxy null when a collision occurs? or was it just a fluke..

oh yea, I killed 2 more LAs and a goon and then hit a try while trying to land at the v-base like a moron  :salute

if you didn't put any rounds into him, someone else may have awarding them the kill

Banshee7 got it.  He who inflicted the most damage with their weapons is awarded the kill.  A proxie is only awarded if the dying player was not previously damaged, or was damaged by a player or players, that have since ended their own sortie.
