Did you know...

Did you know that last tour (January) the P-51 and Spitfire series accounted for nearly 30% of all K+D for fighters in the late-war main arena?

... that today the P-51 and the Spitfire are probably the most famous planes of WWII?

Coincidence?  :noid

Then you have the P-47, P-38, 109/190, and Zero, also strong in the fame department, thus they will surely see more usage than the La7 or N1K...

Oh wait, my train of thought just ran off a cliff.

BTW Anax, you can NOT at this point make a bid for perking the P-51D without being a hypocrite. The same Z-scoring data you've been playing with and using as a reason to perk the Spixteen I saw a long time ago, and it demonstrates the mediocrity of the P-51 and why if anything it probably needs a slightly higher ENY.  :D

"Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals."

And in the United States the B-17 is more famous than the B-24 or Lancaster. :)

I did notice a preponderance of high 51s flying "smart" last camp.
