Get help, get better
« on: February 18, 2009, 07:57:16 AM »
Have struggled in Aces for a while, seemed like the squad skin I should have been using should have been a bullseye on a target.    Rodent57 offered to give me some help in the training arena a few weeks ago and taught me more in 30 minutes than I imagined.   Strongly recommend him or other willing trainers.    I'd played this simulation over last several years off and on, mostly in winters but he showed me things I did not know anything about.   The game can be highly frustrating when all you can do against the good sticks like Ghost, Von, Black, and Alpha is provide a challenging target.   Get a bit of advice and help and you will have significantly more fun.   BIG THANKS to Rodent57.

Well said.  The trial and error method frustrates.  What you said is so.

Why get better when you can run or just hang out in a horde? Getting "better" would actually take some *cough* effort.

Any British players that seek help or enlightenment,  you really do not have to suffer in silence in some american wing mega sqwad and never have your voice heard.

We will see if the training has lasting effect, still struggle to best Shuffler, VonHoltz and others, but am getting smarter.   Comment about MW's not using throttle much is very true, was guilty as charged.   Part of past flight strategy was first obtaining closure, then angle, promptly overshooting,  then running away with bandit on my six all the time.   Early indications are that has been cured.

Don't get so into it that you miss the fun tall <S>. Good to see someone interested in learning to be better instead of thinking they should start on top.

I hope it does. I noticed you run from me without even trying to fight (in a film). If you ever want someone to play target for you in the TA...let me know (I'm good at it).

BTW, don't worry about Shuffler...he use the "38 Margarita Cheat".  :devil
