Long way around if you don't have nvidia desk top icon.... Right click anywhere on screen / properties / settings / advanced ...click on nvidia or graphics card. If it has "start nvidia click on it otherwise click on "manage 3D settings" or the "advanced" tab. scroll to vsync and set to "on by default". Click save and close it......job done.
Dastardly....on the monitor tab make sure the Hz is set to the max your monitor can handle. Be carefull here because if you set it above your monitors capabilities you'll end up having to go to safe mode to change it back.
