even with perk planes free for 1 day the prop driven perk planes are seldom used and as rare as the unflown weak planes of the game with exception of the f4u1c which is priced low enough to allow usage.

I would prefer these prices for perk planes to increase their usage to levels of 1% to 2% of total usage:

Me262: ?cheaper? or200 perks i dont care
Tempest: 30 perk points
F4U4: 20 perk points
ar234: 20 perk points
Ta152: 10 perk points

I would like to see perked the top 5 aircraft each tour costing 5 perk points each to bring their usage levels from 5-8% each down to 3-4% each.

perhaps a real time dynamic perk point level that adjusts cost of planes?

oh well.
just remember diversity is good

They should be even more rare.   They don't belong in the air with the average plane in this sim.

another thing to consider with prop driven perk planes is that people are saving up their fighter perks to fly the 262. they are unlikely to want to waste them on propeller driven perk aircraft when the 262 costs so many.

added to the fact that there are now 5 perk planes to pick from and most can only afford one or two before their perk points are all gone.

Its a bad idea to form any conclusions based on a tour that involves a new release.  Next tour should have numbers that represent a more normalized arena.

Me262 should be used pretty much, it was used pretty much during the war, although never in enpugh numbers to be able to halt the bomber streams.

Feel sad for new people who lose all their perks because they lose one plane.

I'd be all in favor of a 'dynamic perking system', or even one in which the ENY values were changed to reflect usage in the MA.

Don't think it would be to popular though, since it would lead to a "faster" arena.  It seems that most people like to fly slow, turny planes like the Spit and N1K, which is OK since most planes don't HAVE to fight those, they are free to run.  If the most popular plane in the arena was the La7, most planes couldn't run from it, and would have to fight it.

Good idea Cit!  Dynamic perk system would be nice.  Or tour-to-tour perks value change would be nice.  I certainly would love to fly the F4U-4, 262, Tempest, and all kinds of perk stuff on a regular basis.  Unfortunately, new game ID means no perks for me  :(.  Started at 0 the other day.   Then at 0 again when my handle was changed to its original  :).  Arg.  You want to see more usage and more diversity, change the perk values.  Good idea once again cit.

oct out!

I think ALL of you should fly what I think you should fly.

I'll be mailing out the plane assignments for the next five tours shortly.

ive been asking about a possible dynamic perk system for ages but have had no replies on them.I just gave up asking.

someone did say however that dynamic is unworkable and that HTC do their eny/perk stuff adjustments manually but  i have NO IDEA if HTC said this or this was just talk.

Im prepared to wait though as HTC adjusts things and so far the f4uc value seems to be the best example of the system working well.
The arado seems very underused to me, I havent seen one for ages.

wilbus... this is a game and not a "war".   We don't want to have the more uneven and unfair elements of a war in a game.

Why do we even need the perk rides anyhow?  surely, a game without early war planes is much less of a sim than one with a few ridiculous perk rides and a whole bunch of unused and not competitive planes?   Certainly the early war planes were an important part of WWII aviation, much more than the idiotic perk planes?

Do we really want a faster and faster, and hence, slower playing (less action) arena?   Is everyone hiding from each other and taking to sectors to turn around and reengage really the way we want to spend our precious hour or two online per day?   I can think of better things to do if that's the case.
