As in when you get re-supplied with vehicle supplies?

I too think that is a good idea.  As it is, the only reward (which is good one, really) is the "thanks" and the hand shake you get from the person you just saved.  At least with re-supplying bases/OBJ there are perk points to be earned.

One would have to think that based on the result of taking those supplies a point system could be designed.  For instance, if just a resupply of ammo is he result then 1 pt (relative). But if the tank was turreted and low on ammo then 2 pts.  If the tank was low on ammo, turreted, and tracked than 3 pts.  And so on.

The reward is, hopefully, what comes around, goes around.  I've bailed and run supplies to someone disabled before, and had the same thing happen for me.  That's enough incentive right there.

I just think it's not so dangerous to have a free market of sorts for this.  If the supplyee doesn't have any perks to offer, he could just (e.g.) tick a box on his clipboard somewhere that'd have him show up on a "SOS roster" or something, with the spawn info (just the origin spawn number). The perk value could be something like SLoon suggests.
Show the perk reward on the SOS roster... maybe, maybe not.  Though if the guy is putting down a big reward, he's really wanting to be helped, and he'll be advertising (to put it mildly) on some radio channel if he considers the SOS roster isn't enough.

I don't see any evils other than that in this suggestion. Quid pro quo is nice enough but not comparatively not effective at really raising the amount of teamwork for this.

I'd have no problem handing over 2 - 5 perks if someone comes out and saves my skin.

2 perks for unsolicited supply's, 5 if you send up a red flare.

Hmmmmm.......  What if perks were shared by the vehicle that was resupplied?  Vehicle one received supplies, and landed earning X.XX perks.  The vehicle that resupplied vehicle number one would receive a 10% share of that vehicle's earned perks.  The award for the perks would most usually come after the supply vehicle had already landed.  So, then perks from this activity might need to be shown in text buffer.   Somewhat like when perks are received after a map is reset.  "You have been awarded X.XX vehicle perk points". :aok

OK this is for fun (a joke)...

You should be able to challenge an opponent plane (via right-click on icon or something) and force him to give you 5 points NOT to shoot him down!  :lol

If you read my post Slade, you would see that an idea starts out as a simple concept.  A "wish list" and through intelligent discussion, may develop into something attainable.  Me personally, I am not concerned about perk points.  I am however, grateful to those that take the time to resupply us in Ground Vehicles.  This is the merit of this thread, not someone begging for enough GV perk points to go pwn you with an easily earned Tiger.

Bad idea.  Self-serving inducements fan the wrong fire.

What about the flip side?  If I have to share my perks with someone who resupplied me, might I not gobble them up when I am not in need?

I tend to agree with Wrongway. I remember who helps me out, and who seems to only look out for #1. I'll stick my neck out for the guys who are team players. As for those other guys... well sometimes my Chk 6 calls can come just a little bit too late. ;)  Kharma.

Not a bad idea. How about the loss of perks if enemy picks them up?

I disagree.. Quid pro quo just takes forever to pick up any momentum. And I don't see how this fans the wrong flames. I'm all ears.

It's not quid pro quo.  That would mean you're doing it expecting something in return.  It's more like Squid-head said, Karma.

maybe it would build until it became a community of cooperation and mutual respect.
