out of a bunch of sorties yesterday in the MA I managed to have a couple of 1v1s, both in Spit8 against Hogs.
first one, chased a lone wolf C Hog into the middle of the ocean on the deck, backed off and let him climb to 5k-ish and reset. then had quite a nice little turn fight which resulted in a one-winged hog. sent a <S> by pm for the guy reversing rather than running, and received a bunch of pms which I didnt really understand about tracers, cannons only and soft cannon rounds(?), and got called a cheater!
later ran into a D Hog at high alt and (cant remember how exactly) ended up co-E with him 1k behind me. started a spiral climb to build an E advantage and then rolled in, turned a couple of times and got a nice descending front quarter shot while the hog was going uphill. from my side it looked like he was pretty much on the edge, and pulling that little bit more to get guns on me would have stalled him out. for some reason I had 200 tuned (dont normally) and the guy was not happy. "HOin Spit ho re" was followed by a DA challenge to "prove my superior ACM", not that I would ever suggest my ACM is anything other than "workmanlike." seeing as we'd just started guns cold, co-E there didnt really seem much point (apart from giving him another chance to get it right.)
first ever cheating pm, first ever DA challenge, both on the same day from guys who know what they're doing. I finally feel like I'm doing something right
