Squad Arena
« on: March 02, 2009, 10:23:19 AM »
Maybe Hitech could start an arena for squads only.  This would allow for squad based activities.  Plus, keeping out the newer players especially the ones with less than one month time in game.

The main arenas in late war would be a little less crowded.  Horde activity might be lessened.

Just a thought.

Please don't take offense to this but 3 Fridays per month there is a Squad only event called FSO ( Friday Squad Ops ) perhaps you should check it out. Further info can be found HERE and HERE

imo FSO is one of the best parts of the game  :aok  :rock

That's the problem, it is only three days out of approximately thirty days.

And believe me, it takes a lot of preparation. Objectives, orders, planning, the FSO is successfull because of all the work and planning that goes into it. I would guestimate that at least 30 man-hours a week go into planning each frame of an FSO, and god know how many hours are spent planning each month's entire event. Even at the squad level, there are hours of preparations to be made as well as practice. Trust me, holding FSO's more than 3 days a month would cause the FSO as a whole considerable harm.

This is why the FSO is so successfull. What are we everaging now, 500+ per frame?

Just some thoughts:

- Majority of players are in a squad. So almost all of them would have admittance to that arena, right?
- Keeping new players away from playing parts of the game is a bad idea for many reasons. And what about people that just took a break?

I don't like this idea only because the main arenas would take a huge hit in population.

You guys don't see how many new players I see that by their 2nd day in AH are into a squadron of sorts.

Nice try but no cigar, go back and try again
