updated computer now pedals spike

Recently got a new puter . Now my saitek pedals spike any help out there ?

Make sure the USB ports aren't being disabled to save power.

The strange thing is when I went to vista, my sticks were more stable.

What are the specs on the new computer? Power supply wattage?
Have you tried more than one USB input?

Sounds like a power related issue to me. You might try a powered USB hub...Belkin makes a good one. You might also try posting this over at the Saitek forum  www.saitekforum.com

Disabled reseting to save power in device manager . Tried externally powered USB . Newest drivers installed . Originally used disk that came with peds . Was wrong drivers . Uninstalled them but it never went away . Think i might need to do a more thorough uninstall ?

You might search for some kind of driver cleaner utility to wipe clean the drivers that came with the peds AND the current drivers you installed. Then reinstall the latest Saitek drivers and see if that cures your ills. I'm still suspicious of the power issue...i.e. the voltage being supplied to your USB port.

Solid PC, I'm wondering if it is bad pots?

Is the particular USB port sharing an IRQ with another high usage device, such as sound, network, or video?  Just a thought.

Just tried them on old pc no spikes . Was unable to find resources for root hub in device mangler er manager . Going to reformat old pc and install vista see what happens then . BTW completely uninstalled saitec drivers per thier web page how to . Still spiking .
