Wanted: AVA players
« on: March 05, 2009, 07:18:56 AM »
come join us in the AVA!! if you'd like to learn ACM, come to the AVA. If you want to have fun, Come to the AVA.

Limited planesets make it more interesting. plane match-ups are close.
Not like any other arena, clean and fair fights are encourage.

maps and conditions change on a regular basis.

no points for kills so score doesnt matter. its all about the fun and the fight.

if you've never tried it, give it a whirl. be forewarned there are some very good pilots in there. it can be very challenging.

Fly AVA!!

When is your squad night?  I enjoy the AvA but lately I've been flying less and would need to plan ahead a bit.  It seems like every time I check, there's no one there :(

Vudak we don't have a regular squad night. Finding bodies in the AVA can be hit and miss, but a few nights a week you may find some decent numbers in there in the evenings.

Come try it out.

AVA  is not like the MA though. It isn't set up to "win the war", as we only run 2 countries and if you kill off a country (even the non-active one) it porks the map and it must be reset.

AVA staff are few and most are pretty busy, so it's not a good idea to milk the map for bases.

You will fight great fights in there though, and occasionally players will run announced missions for all to participate in.

cheers,

I went in last night (after a lengthy map download) and was the only soul in there.

Maybe regular, historical scenerios would help participation--kind of like FSO, only during prime-time (earlier than FSO).  I reguarly hear that more folks would participate in a historical FSO style event if it were held earlier in the evening USA, like 8 EST/7 CST--and AvA could easily fill that bill.

Caratan, St. Lo, Paris, Bastogne, Hurtigen Forrest, North Africa, Sicily, Anzio, Tunisia, etc, could all be FSO style scenerios that could pump life back into AvA.

About a year ago we had AvA war set up that we had about 60 ppl.  Then it all die.  I think we need to get something started that we can bring that number back in.

Yes.

Fudgums I highly doubt just one balloon would lift such a fat squirrel. :lol

Realistic, historically based "FSO" type events with reasonably even sides and specific strategic objectives for both sides.

If he won't put something together, I will.  And I mean that in a positive, constructive manner.  Maybe--we can BOTH run scenerios & events!

That would seriously pump some life back into AvA!
