So you were'nt trying to be #10 overall in EW last camp? It seems to me to be a total lack of charachter to speak about others and the score page when you're no different.
If you'd look at my stats, you'd see the majority of my time was in Fighter mode flying a Hurri-1 and my kills were spread out over lots and lots of people. I upped other planes and vehicles as needed to support base capture or defense. That's not really the way to play for rank and score, is it?
I try to fly smart, but don't care if I die or land kills. I'll stay and fight until I'm outta ammo, damaged too much, or low on fuel; even then, it's hard to run away in a Hurri-1. I don't run to my base ack after one or two passes when I see that my opponent might know what he's doing, or wait for help before engaging a single or a pair on cons. I don't milk-run strats or vulch shades and noobs. As a matter of fact, I spent over an hour one night with two new guys - had one fight for over 15 minutes while only pinging him with 3 or 4 .303 rounds at a time so he could spend more than 5 seconds in a dogfight. Most people would have just unleashed 4-cannons from a Hurri-2c for the quick kill to add to their score.
I'd much rather teach someone something (what little I
do know) and make them a better pilot - or at least so they have more fun in the game - than just up and kill them in 5 seconds.
Those who know me, know this all to be true. I hold no grudges, but get tired of some of the constant crap being flung between players. I do my best to stay out, but every once in a while I lose patience and have to speak my mind. Even then, it's civil and short-lived. A little smack-talk is all part of the game, but there's a line that I try very hard to not cross. You can't make me mad, and for sure can't make it so I'm so full of rage that I can't fly as I normally would.
