One ship, several guns, and objects can be destroyed with each torp.
Cruiser is a much better target than the carrier. B25H with a good sight, can decimate cruisers starting at 4k out.

Yeah.

My question was about 3000% hitting in a gv.  Does one torp, from a PT boat, sinking a cv, or another ship, equal a 3000% hit percentage?

Yes you can get your hit% to that regions.
For example, by hitting a cruiser with two 1000lbs bombs, I can get a hit% way over 1000. The same applies to torpedoes & rockets.

Well, thanx all for the explanations and comments.  I do see what the differences are in impact of the different statistics.  Wonder if there should be some kind of weighting as some point to reflect total combat time.  By that I mean (as just one example) someone who flies 20 sorties makes 12 kills to 4 deaths, against someone that does 120 sorties and makes makes 60 kills and 30 deaths.  The K/D ratio and other percentages favor the 20 sortie guy, but has he flown enough to be moderately reflective of skill and a higher score.  Can't say I know where the weighting should kick in or how it works, but I do believe there needs to be a balancing based on overall risk.

Just a wild idea, no big thing.

Trivia question: do you think I'm player #1 or #2.   :rofl

Thanx again all.

Its pretty obvious that in each category (fighter/bomber/attack) that the different sub-categories (k/d k/s k/t hit% pts) are all equally weighting upon the final rank for that category. If you spend time pondering how you could better your rank and you think to yourself 'I need more at least fifteen kills in one sortie' and then wait until a CV is parked near a deacked field... then Id say the fun of the game is gone for you and its just the fans you want cheering you on.

Was that with torpedoes?  Rockets?  I've played with rockets but find it very "hit or miss"  :lol  with them as you really can't see where you are shooting.

I'm just curious, trying to figure out how things work.
