Windows 2003 Server
« on: March 14, 2009, 02:17:45 PM »
Hello,

Will Aces High work on a system with Windows 2003 Server?

The front page of the website shows Windows 2k.  I use Windows 2003 Server edition for home office work and given that it has ample horse power (CPU, RAM, Video etc.) I was hoping it would work with Aces High.

I am also unsure if Windows 2003 Server supports the minimum\recommended DirectX version list (DirectX9).

Thanks for your advice,

Slade

As far as I'm aware, it wouldn't hurt anything to give it a shot.

Then again, I've never touched a 2003. :uhoh

I used to play on a windows 2003 computer, works well. Just make sure the video acceleration is active in the display settings and dxdiag before lauching the game, because its disabled by default. The video card Windows XP drivers should work, at least the ATI ones did. Make sure the latest possible DirectX version is installed as well. You may want to change the application priority in the systems settings too, windows 2003 is configured for background processes priority by default.
