By the time I return to this game, there isn't gonna be room for me in the Jolly Rogers. I cannot believe how fast you have built the squad up. I'm pretty sure it's because I was in it for a few daze....I don't wanna take all the credit though, but I will.<------sarcasm alert

Glad to see you guys doing well. :salute

Sweet shot of Tex's ride.  Didn't know if you guys ever saw this one.

Fuselage shot of a Goodyear FG-1D showing off the reflection of a great sunset as another day draws to a close at EAA.

Chance Vought could not keep up with wartime demands, so production was also contracted to Brewster, designated F3A-1, and to Goodyear, designated FG-1.

Vintage Fighters FG-1D is painted to represent F4U-1A Corsair No.29 flown by Lt(jg) Ira C Kepford of VF-17 while on Bougainville in the February 1944 time frame.

Ira Kepford's first action came on November 11, 1943, downing three Val dive-bombers and a Kate torpedo bomber. January 1944 he became an ace, destroying two Zeke fighters near Rabaul. Two days later he downed four more Zekes, ending the war with a total of 19 confirmed, three Vals, one Tony, a Rufe and ten Zekes.

The Jolly Rogers would like to welcome Modeus back to squad operations now that he's back from deployment.
Plus we'd like to welcome another new pilot CptBatty to VF-17.
