Feild defense when ack and vh down

Best defense with the ack and VH down is to come from another field.

Actually, this is expressly why turrets are not enabled on bombers on the ground.

Yes, actually. Vulching is expressely encouraged as a reward to those who work to supress the AI and player defenses at a base. I have a recording by HiTech on the subject if you'd like.

There was a bug that enabled guns on the runway a while back, I'm thinking right around when the switch to AHII was forced. It was quickly squashed.

yea the bomber guns should be enabled on the runway.......In real life the guns could shout on the ground. Why not in the game.

1) Guns don't shout.
2) HTC took that out for a reason.

I absolutely see no reason why this wish is out of line, turrets that don't work are not realistic, the only one that was adversely affected by altitude was the belly turret.  There was a Medal of Honor recipient that earned it by manning the rear gun of an aircraft that was sitting on a carrier deck during an attack by the Japanese.

Short side story, While watching an episode of "Enterprise" or whatever it was called (a historical based series aired on history ch about the US carrier enterprise during ww2) One pilot jumped in the rear gun of his sbd(some type of divebomber devestator mabey?)that was still on the deck and fired at an incoming japanese bomber that was making a low pass on the carrier. Either that or im totally confused and thinking about something else.

SO...you cant say this wish isnt historically accurate.
