Wingnutt do you really WANT a bomber capable of quickly cruising to 20k, and flying fast enough up there that most fighters couldn't catch it? Is that REALLY what you want for the main? B29 would be unbalancing for gameplay. And thats why we don't have it.

To be realistic the there should be only on thing on their mind and that is the constant improvement of the service that they offer. Since these forums are a cesspool and are moderated on a so-so basis they should have plenty of time to update aspects that are being asked for. If they need to expand to do this then they should. there are many knowledgeable people in this community that do model, texture animate, build maps and a few who are probably pretty adept with programming. They should look with in the community to give the community what it wants..

Main area's are only one part of the AH experience, and have been quite well catered to up to this point.
High time that Special events, and early war got some love.

its climbe rate is only a slight bit better than  a lancaster, and worse than a B17...  it would be the second slowest climbing bomber in the game.

and at 358MPH max at 25K there are more than a few fighters that could catch it at altitude.

its rear turret is 20MM OH NOESS!!!!  but ... it only carried 100 rounds of ammo in the tail *GASP!*  furthermore in later variants the rear turret was dropped all together.



seems like you (and many others) get your perception of the B29 from TV. it wasn't the super bomber it is billed as by the history channel..

granted it should still be perked due to its huge bomb load.. and decent speed..  but it would be far from the untouchable super bomber people keep billing it as..   It wouldent turn the MA on its head any more than the 262, 163, or 234 do,  it would just be another (good) option spend perkies on, and a fun target to shoot at.  nothing more.

...#3   new maps, new maps are needed, this game is getting stale. use some of the cool scenario maps, anything different would be better than more of the same

This is a Wish list so anything goes, and as for as the B-29, I think it would be a good add, if they would be worried about a bomber unbalancing the game they would of never added the me262 or the 163. And maybe it will take the fights to higher altitudes, and it would put another dimension in the game.

No has ever presented a good explanation of what "unbalancing" actually means; most can only point to examples.  But the perk system is supposed to make a non-issue of "unbalancing" aircraft, so I don't think that's why we don't have it.

I think it should only be enabled at large airflields or zone bases..  or something along those lines..

given that it would be perked, not available at every field, and does not have the performance many people seem to think it does,  it would be no threat to game play..

also consider.. it was BIG.. very big.. but also not as tough as say a B17 or even a Lanc..  so you have a larger target, that takes less damaged to down..
