Huh? Everything flies better at lower altitudes, and with those great long wings I'm thinking it's a pretty easy jet to handle at low speed. One of those go arounds from a bounce looked pretty solid, he just pitched up and climbed away. I've always read it's a race after liftoff to keep pulling the nose up to prevent exceeding gear retraction speed.
The problem with the landings is the landing gear configuration. It's a centerline gear taildragger. Sheesh, my feet are twitching just thinking about the dance you'd be doing to keep that thing lined up!! No prop blast to keep the rudder effective, and because of the centerline gear you can't use braking to help with directional control. Yeesh.
On one of those landings where the jet goes off the right side you'll notice the pilot is holding right (wrong) rudder until he's pointed well off runway heading when he finally gets some left rudder in.
