Fortunately they are not using that list.  We don't need the A-26.

Go take a look at the list of aircraft in this game by nation.  Notice any slight lopsidedness?  Trust me, the Japanese flew almost as great a variety of aircraft as we did because their military was split much like ours.  Compare the US and Japanese lists.

Reason aircraft types are lopsided is that on the whole the Italian,Japanese,German, and Russian bombers of the time where lite bombers that carried lite bomb loads,  with little defensive firepower......i.e. they sukked (to put it bluntly)

Targets in this game require more damage to put down than a He-111 can muster.

Saying that the A-26 isnt needed in the game is avoiding the point I believe, we dont need a Me-262,...... but the performance and fame of the airframe merits its introduction.
Plus the A-26 does somthing dare I say not many other bombers missing from the game can claim, carry a useful bomb load.

So, I LIKE THE A-26!!!!! oh gosh pretty please can we have this plane!!!!!?

Do 217 - Introduced in 1941.

Main bomber versions had max Speed ~340 mph, max bomb load 8800lbs.
Basically a combination of Ki-67's speed and B-24's bombload

Yup, was the plane I was refering to when I said Do17, but I was mistaken on the designation,...I neglected the 2, oops

Thus I must retract that statment about the dornier....hows about I say He111 instead?...


And I did say on the whole, which doesnt mean every one of them stunk obviously...The ju88 is in the game and rightly so I believe.

That might explain the requests for the planes from the United States.

Although I can appreciate the requests from the guys who play the scenarios, the majority " should" have the majority vote here.

I cant find an 8800 pound bombload, im looking, but christ thats alot for that little plane....according to the information the sukker outperforms the A-26...


Found it, christ, this thing is a monster....ty Lusche for putting it dead in front of me. AND the sukker could dive bomb in one variant...

My favor is with the A-26 if it came to a vote... but it seems to be pretty obviouse that the Dornier should be introduced as well, meets all my requirments and has a dive brake to boot

Look, IMO the A-26 Invader is just plain cool.  That's why I would like to see it added to the game.  As a bonus, it also has great 'stats'.

They gave up divebombing very early. Too much strain on the plane.
