Those Vulcans are noisy buggers. Used to love seeing them at the RAF Leuchars airshows in the 80s.

'Vulcan 607' by Rowland White about the raids on the Falklands is highly recommended.

The camera is just a 4 years old D50 (nikon) with a amazing 6 milion mega pixels.
Its a bit slow too especially because i do all in RAW.

Its the glass what did it.

I hope next that ill have a D300 faster and better focus better framerate and more pixels so i can crop better.

The glass i used is the 300MM F4 AF-S nikkor with kenko 1,4 converter.
that makes a 420 MM (F5,6) with a 35mm equivalent of 630MM.

The D300 is a very great machine and since i love doing the telework i wouldnt want to miss the cropfactor.
Do u also have the grip wich makes it faster?

It has indeed many features but i mosltly just play with the aperture.
The D300 does also have more knobs to do thing for wich i have to go into the menu.
Also a much better display so u can see what ur doing.
Above all it's a Nikon i know the are many good camera's but like the way they work and look.
I'm also pretty contend on the reliability since even this plastic model shows its been rigid the past 4 years.

I used to get buzzed by strikemasters trout while fishing at a mountain lake... they used it for very low practise runs.
