Spawns do not move back, they already randomize the location of the spawning GV's, keeps the gunner on his feet.
This is NOT true. It is not random, you don't know it, but you actually control where you spawn at the spawn point. And you may test it for yourself. I found this out after 3 dam years of GVing, thinking that people pop up in random places within the spawning area, which I've been told (and believe is true) is a radius of 500m around the center point (therefore roughly a 1K diameter area).
Well, I'm about to reveal what must be a closely guarded SuperTanker secret cause it took so long for someone to clue me in.
If the enemy base you are spawning to is to the NE of your base, and you place your cursor in the upper right hand corner of the NE spawn button, you will spawn on the upper-rightmost edge of the spawn area to the NE, closest to the enemy base. If you were to click on the bottom left corner of the same button, you would spawn further away from the enemy base, diagonally further to the SE area of the spawn point.
In other words, you can roughly control which area of the spawn point you will appear at by simply paying attention to where your cursor is positioned on the spawn button before you click. It is not exceptionally fine control, but you don't have to spawn in the same place time after time, or be the last one in the pack when taking off towards the enemy base.
I HAVE PROVED THIS TO BE TRUE. About 3-4 days ago a major number of countryman were spawning into an area that had 3 base spawns right on top of each other, one of which was an enemy spawn. There was a furious battle going on with at least 15 + tanks per side. For us, some would spawn down on the flat below a huge cliff, and some spawned high up on the cliff (and I mean a very steep, high cliff, nice advantage

).
The first time I spawned in (without even think about controling my position), I was perched on the cliff, the second time I spawned, I was down on the flat. I soon realized that on the flat you got killed quick, up high on the cliff was the best spot. Then I remembered about how to position, and it took me two tries to locate the correct spot (as the cliff position was a very, very small part of the spawn), but after that I spawned several times on the cliff in almost perfectly the same location. Later as the battle change (we started to control the fight), I purposely spawned twice down on the flat, as I then knew where that was in relation to where to click on the spawn button.
Know this sounds like a joke, but it's very easy to test for yourself. Give it a try.
