Heckling.  Lots of heckling.

Also, the occasional cheeky shenanigans.

Neither of which are terribly fun if you don't like and respect your squaddies.   :salute

Fun, a bunch of laughs, a group of guys who can all get serious about a specific mission but also have fun in small groups doing whatever-the-heck comes to mind, and not bee too uptight about anything. This group of Clowns I've fallen is with is the perfect balance IMHO, "funny HA HA" clowns most of the time, always good for laughs, but with just enough "horror movie clown" to roll bases or tower a few on a fighter sweep. Most of us are older so there's usually at least one of us in the evening hours that has had just enough beverage of the adult variety to provide hours of amusement for everyone else... ya know, things like bombing the CV even though you've been informed it's your own, or being too inebriated to get off the runway without crashing while trying to take off as a whole squad!  :rofl

Three things make a good squad:

A) Fun
2. Fun
iii. Fun

when you feel that 60% of your fun is the friendship and camraderie with your squadmates, joking on ts, talking simple bs sometimes and having a grea ttime than you know you are a member of a good squad

I just have to add, that you have not experienced pain, or mental anguish, until you have flown with Dan (corkyjr).

Sure he comes off as a nice guy, but get on squad vox with him. Take a few flights with him. If you so much as slip out of formation, he unleashes chaos at ya over vox.

Its all run very similar to a dictatorship, I cant imagine a dictatorship being much worse than Dans reign of terror.

Having a bunch of beautiful women in the squad is what makes a squad great.

Yes, It's amazing how this simple video game can and has created so many lasting friendships between it's members. I don't think it happens on Xbox

There are probably many stories to tell of how people you've never met have reached out and and tried to helped in one way or another.

I'm not sure exactly what happened when WMLUTE lost his possessions to fire but I'm sure his squad was there to help. I remember the out pouring of sediment on these boards for many of the fallen or sick from perfect strangers and I'm sure things were done about those too.

While with the Aces I had the pleasure of meeting A8Balls who has one of the biggest hearts in the game. He's always willing to help his squad mates even if it comes out of his own pocket. I know he's paid for a couple of our members subscriptions when they were low on funds, myself included. We recently had A8WB pass, another great guy who will be soarly missed. Always a good word and quick to say hello. He lived in California and tried his best to use all of his contacts to help me find work here in Chicago when I could not find a decent job. He vouched for me knowing me only from this game. I'll miss his phone calls and friendly council.  :frown:

For some, this is much more than just a game, it's a community built on friendships, trust and honor.

Just my opinions really

It does happen on Xbox. I joined a clan in 2005 when the 360 came out called EZ. The core group including my self is 7 guys. We see what games are coming and usually get the same ones and play together. We are going to comic con in July going to be a blast.
