Changing Default

Is there anyway that one can change the default setting of a selected airplane to a preference of ur own?  ie in the AH2 Hangar, under P51D I wish to permanently change the skin of my selection from default to say p51d-4?

You should be able to select that other skin in the hanger, and it'll stay selected until you decide to change it.

If the name of that other skin is written in red it won't work though, and you'll need to download it (not sure why that happens).

Thx MtnMan, it's just that I noticed when I play offline missions, whenever I fly a
particular plane in a dogfight, & return to the Hangar, it has, as its' selection, the
plane I flew in the offline mission but as the default aircraft, thusly if I were to
change the plane skin to one that I desire, say a P51d-4, par example, & make the p51d-4 my default, that then is what should show up in the offline mission.

I film most of my fites, for educational purposes, watching them in "Internal mode & External mode", in the external mode my plane of choice (p51d-4) would show
in that particular skin, making the game the more enjoyable.

Hmm, I haven't tried offline in ages, so I wouldn't know.  I thought you were referring to online.

It changes back to default for me when I select the plane, then select the plane again.

Yep, I agree, however, I wish to make the plane I desire to be the Default, presently, u've no choice as to which plane is Default.
You can change your gunsights & make them YOUR selected default, how can 1
choose planes & nominate one as ur default.

There is a place to click if you right click on the clipboard in the hanger on the drop down menu that says "save as default skin".

I don't want to change anything, so I didn't try it so I'm not sure if it works.

My skins stay on the last skin I chose unless I get an unexpected reboot or something.

Do you mean choose the skin for the plane you fight against?  We can't do that...

Thx people for all of ur help, tried everything, did everything, scoured AH2 website
for the subject matter, all to no avail, guess it can't be done
