That is impressive.  I had seen that not too long ago while seeing the different performances of "Nessun Dorma".  btw... check out 'Man O War's redition of ND.  Awesome.   
James Brown is truely a legend.  There will never be another.  All this "R&B" crap coming out today cant come close to his generation of of music.
Pavaroti needs no introduction nor commentary.  
Yeah, it freaks my friends out that a guy raised on Sabbath and Zeppelin would actually like anything from opera. "Nessun Dorma" had me hooked the first time I heard it, long before I knew the translation, or the "Turandot" story behind it.
I like Pavarroti's rendition of "Caruso" too, although it can be a bit too "operatic. Not nearly as wooden as hearing him do "Singing in the Rain" though.
