When killshooter is on and you can't kill your own people, does that also mean you can't damage your sides planes or tanks?

If kill shooter is on and you shoot at a friendly, you take the damage they would be taking.

BUT your bombs will not damage friendly tanks and you don't take damage.

Bullets = yes.
Bombs = no

I believe that killshooter only works on like items

examples

killshooter only applies in vehicle vs vehicle and plane vs plane

no kill shooter and no damage in plane vs vehicle or vehicle vs plane

unless something has changed in the last year or so

Really? Interesting if so, would explain why friendly 5 inch shells don't have killshooter.

Killshooter should be enabled for bombs and rockets.  Maybe that would stop some of the lanc-stuka attacks on tank fights.

Just to clarify for newer players: Friendly auto acks (= guns not mannable by players) can and will damage / kill you if youre unfortunate enough to get in their way.

It is, but as noted only for like craft type.  How would you like to be the B-17 driver that took the time to climb and drop from 18k, and get killed because some friendly GV is hiding inside the enemy FH camping that spawn?  You're lucky to see that friendly even if you're dive bombing low in a fighter.

I found out the hard way that if you shoot at troops entering the map room and someone is in the map room then you die.

An excellent point Snail, and my experience says that applies to friendly puffy ack as well.

if you are in bomber what happens if you hit a friendly fighter. Would like to know for killshooter on or off for FSO purposes.

As far as I know, kilshooter is always off in FSO.  You can definitely shoot down friendly planes in FSO.  Not that I have ever done that before...   :uhoh

Why do people worry about the kill shooter? Simple, just don't shoot at friendlys, as you would not in real life.

Actually...there is one reason why you need to worry about the kill shooter....when some noob fly's though your guns when your already firing at an enemy aircraft.

let me rephrase my question.

 If you are in a bomber in the main arena and you hit a friendly fighter or bomber  do either get damage?
