Why oh why is it every time someone gets shot in the face they come here cryin'?

 :rock :rock :rofl
Why oh why is it every tom, dick, and twitlimp wants to go for HO shots on a plane thats already fighting 3+?  Now, you can come in here and call it whining all you want...which it might be....but creating an atmosphere in the game where gettting HOd in a 1 vs 3 is the norm, and is defended by a growing number of numbtwits, is far worse....imo. :aok

uumm.....they didn't have several cons., they had one.......he had several. there was no need for it.

that kinda poop is a large part of why i haven't been in the arenas in a couple of weeks.

There is never any _need_ for it but as said above they were prolly competing for the kill so the HO guy did what he could to get it.

Im not defending it, nor do i make a big deal of it when it happens to me. If you expect all of them to fall into a congaline and fight you one at a time in a gentlemen like fashion then the game is not for you. The trick is to have good SA and not get yourself into that position in the first place  :)

One thing that can be done to curb the 5 v 1 gang bangs and possibly help curb or deter potential HO Shots is to turn friendly fire and friendly collisions on.

That will _never happen_. It would be very fun for one day to have it on but after that everyone would really really hate it. I know my squaddies would boot me from the squad before long :D

Why not? People complain about the Mob rule and HO'ers but few are reluctant to request a fix. It seems to me most would just rather complain about it. This is a solid fix one that would cut down on these types of situations that only  end up clogging these boards up with posts from disgruntled victims.

ciaphas what you would have at every base will be guys vulching their own team repeatedly.

You wouldnt be able to do any missions or get to the enemy un molested.  The dweebery will hit all new levels of stupidity.

Imagine this, a Bish 30 man mission gets posted and you think  :rofl i'm going to up a 110 and vulch them all as they prepare to take off.  etc.

Think about all the 2 weekers who shoot at averything they see... red and green. The first time you get shot down by "mistake" by one of your fellow chesspieces you would want it turned off. Im betting it would happen within the first few sorties ;) Then you have those friendles that does it on purpose. I for one would shoot you down the first time i saw you (if you are a knit) just for suggesting it :D

What about using roughly that same system that the training arena uses? When you get shot by a friendly it's the shooter that takes damage? So if enough is inflicted they fall out of the sky and you are left to your chase.

A system like this would negate being shot down by a friendly situation that you are referring to.

If you need to "compete" with your countrymen for a kill, it's probably safe to assume that you're in a horde and should probably go somewhere else if you actually want to find a fight.

Absolutely !!! ... I totally agree with BE on this one !!!

What some don't realize is that he is not really complaining about an HO ... it's the WHY ... what is the need for an HO in this situation.

I have the answer ... when a guy is fighting off 3 or more people, all of them are so intent on getting the kill before one of the others so they result in face-shooting ... and the ones that actually face-shoot in that situation most likely couldn't find their arse with both hands when it comes to actual ACM fighting.

wtf.

Silly baldeagle man.  Stop and consider:

They were immersed and Flying Like in Real Life.  (Kill the Enemy.  Kill him!  Dead!)

They were Flying Smart.  (Hey, they got back to their bases and you didn't, right?)

They were engaged in the refined chess-like game of Strategery (not that childish dogfighting Atari game thing).

It takes two to HO.  (You had at least five.)

It has always been this way.  (You must be very old, or at least have lost your mind, if you think things ever were different.)

So if you don't like it, well, hey, just quit!

there simply is nothing worse than a whiner.  The whiner is the bane of AcesHigh.  I tell you, being on vox and having to listen to the limp wristed ladies whine and complain is the most excruciating aspect of this game.
