Napalam/incindiary 250lb bombs
« on: April 01, 2009, 02:20:10 PM »
Napalm would be good for anti GV and troops roll also for destroying the towns.

Incendiary bombs, also known as firebombs, were used as an effective bombing weapon in World War II [1]. The large bomb casing was filled with small sticks of incendiaries (bomblets), and designed to open at altitude, scattering the bomblets in order to cover a wide area. An explosive charge would then ignite the incendiary material, often starting a raging fire. The fire would burn at extreme temperatures that could destroy most buildings made of wood or other combustible materials (buildings constructed of stone tend to resist incendiary destruction unless they are first blown open by high explosives).

Wow, you copied that straight out of Wikipedia. If you're curious look these up too:

White Phosphorus
Operation Gomorrah (Hamburg, July 1943)
The B-29 raid on Tokyo, 9-10 March 1945

or if you really want to wet your pants, look up FAE's and HIT's (thermobaric weapons)

As far as napalm in the game, chances are HTC is in no hurry to animate it.

If you've seen the herds of sheep I've seen you wouldn't ask such silly questions, you would just grab your sauce of choice, an appropriate tool, and copius amounts of beverages.

Wouldn't it be fun to ride the thermals up to sixty thousand?  Ok, so your frame rate is negative and your wings are still at 5k, but talk about an adrenaline rush!
