SoundMAX Blackhawk Problems
« on: April 02, 2009, 06:18:40 PM »
Hello every1:
Have a problem I'm finding difficulties in resolving, I'm running "Vista" OS,& at the back of my computer I've six (6) input jacks.  When playing AH2 in order to get sound I've to plug my speakers into my Orange jack for Center & Subwoofer,  how-ever then when I decide to play other games, listen to news or videos I've NO SOUND!

That necessitates my unplugging my speakers from the Orange jack & plugging
into the Green jack (Headphones and Stereo Speakers), now I can hear/listen to news, music, other games but NOT AH2.

I tried other jacks to plug into w/o success, is there any way that I can plug into one(1) of the six(6)  in order for me to hear EVERYTHING instead of  plugging & unplugging the speakers.

My sound system is SoundMAX  Blackhawk:        (Jack Inputs are:)
(1) Blue -- Line Input            (2) Pink -- Microphone  <=== don't use
(3) Green -- Headphone & Stereo Speakers
(4) Orange -- Center & Subwoofer    (5) Black -- Surround - Rear Speakers
(6) Grey -- Surround - Side Rear Speakers

I've speakers on Left Front and Right Front, what or how can I get ALL of the sounds from one (1) plug in.  Thx for ur help.

Sounds to me like the SoundMAX drivers are deciding that AH is in surround sound while AH itself is only broadcasting two channels, which are being directed to Center (as they should be in a surround sound setup that's broadcasting "stereo" sounds).

I don't think that would help...he's not saying that he wants to plug two things in at once, he's saying the audio source is switching when he plays Aces High.

A reverse of that (one female, two male) might help, but that wouldn't make sense. :)

If he plugs this adapter into his "green" jack, then his speakers into the adapter, as well as his headset all of his speakers will be on one set.

which covers...

Once he sets it up for that he won't be switching and he'll be using his outputs the way they were suppose to be used. I have 13 speakers in my simpit, AND a 5.1 surround sound headset with 8 speakers plugged into one sound card. Trust me it works  :)

Greetings OOZ662 & The Fugitive  :)

Thx very much for for ur efforts in helping me out of my 'Sounds Dilemma', I appre-
ciate ur input, however, I must state that I DON'T have headsets, I type my msgs
in AH2.
What I'm saying is that when I watch the news, movies, music etc plugged in to my green jack I'm UNABLE to obtain/hear any sounds from AH2.  To remedy that I plug in to the Orange Jack & the sound comes on for AH2 but negates sound for everything else.
Whilst in WindowsXP using SoundMAX with only one (1) jack I was able to hear
EVERYTHING!   That's what I'm trying to accomplish now.
