As darkness fell last evening, I grabbed a Panzer with a load of HE ammo and chugged to the nearest enemy base.

I arrived at max gun range and was pleasantly surprised when I received my first hit sprite after only 5 shots.

Nearly 40 shots later (95% hits on ONE FH), the thing finally gave me the destroyed message

I moved the gun and started working on another hanger and emptied the rest of the HE (about 34 shells, again with about 95% hit sprites) on it.

How many shots of HE does it take to kill a hanger? Does range make a difference??

/Bunches,i do not recall exactly because I stoped using it for such mishions long ago because of the amount and time it takes to do it, I use the osty instead it takes les time and U still have some ammo to use for other things.

Hehe, use the ostie because of the same reason. Maybe this is something that needs to be adjusted in AH, I really think the Panzie should have nicer firepower..

OK... lessee if I have this straight.

1) Use an Osty for killing buildings
2) Use a half track (m16) for killing tanks and planes
3) Use a bomber to kill troops on the ground
4) Use a Panzer if I want a track shot off by a kid with a bb gun

I'll learn this sim yet.

Yes that is correct use of weapons in AH.

As far as bombers go its your choice of Il2 MG and cannon or B26 50cal if ord is disabled.
