I busted a Lanc under 3k but not too deep inside Bishland. He was running for home and in fact we ended up over his field.
Though he was hugging the soil I went out 10k in front and made an HO pass at him. That got him up away from the terrain. So, I got under him and from in front and came at him again. His guns lit up the sky as he searched me out. No good, he didn't hit me. Now he was higher, maybe 3k above the ground. I hugged the earth and came from his seven o'clock. Bursting up at the last moment, he hit me with a few rounds, but nothing met a good mark. After two more passes he was out of ammo, or chagrined to the point of futility. Nevertheless, I swerved from below and approached at a cautious seven o'clock position. Breaking inside at the last moment I filled his wing root with 30mm and down he went.
Yes, he had ammo remaining, and now he was using it in a futile attempt to hit my egressing jet.

The one I didn't film, and now I regret it, was the CV CAP'ing I did later. Six kills in a single 262 sortie, and two of them were Ju88's! Man what a bird!
None of these kills were above 5k.
