Im all for adding new German, American, English, Russian and Japanese military arms.

Save the Italians for last, when there is nothing interesting left to add.

Also, the Helldiver, with two wing mounted 20mm Cannon would quickly eclipse both the Dauntless and Avenger in terms of popularity and use in the MAs.

Only thing that might compete with it would be a B7A2 "Grace", if it were carrier enabled.

Actually, the Fairey Firefly and B7A2 "Grace" might both give it competition now that I think about it.

Adding endless numbers of American aircraft while letting other nation's planesets languish is not good for the game in my opinion.

Agreed. If it flew and fought in WWII I hope it makes it into the game one day regardless of nation. Although I do agree there's so many holes in the Japanese, Italian, and Russian, planesets hopefully those holes will fill first. Although a many of them will turn into hanger queens in the LWA's just like the SB2C. There's much more to this sim than the LWA.

The SB2C had a terrible reputation... (I would not be allowed to say here what SB2C was translated into by its crews). But, you can model all the flaws, by all means add it, but, it would still be a hanger queen... and how would you go about modeling random structural failures?

If you're going to want flaws modeled into aircraft a good place to start would be the ME-163.

I would like to see more planes added the Hell Diver would be acceptable.

But honestly I tried my hand at torpdedo bombing and never got close enough to let a fish go Ship ack took me out every time to the point of "why waste a sortie" when you can up a F4U or P51 with a pair of 1000 lb bombs and egress out without a scratch and accomplish the task of sinking CV's or Cruisers.

It would be a good mission or scenario plane.

Well I'd like to see the Brit. CV aircraft fleshed out a little. Either by a carrier born attack plane, "Firefly", or a later version Seafire. Maybe that late war one with the Griffon engine.

Think about it. Out of three major CV builders and operators in the war we have 4 Japanese CV aircraft included in the game, fighter and Jabo, at least 6 Yank ones, and only 1 Brit one/United Kingdom. Which wasnt really a CV fighter at all.

Other then the D4Y I dont see much else IJN-wise that set has to offer. The exception being possibly an IJN CV itself, which would be awsome. Shokaku class please, or Akagi.

Would love to see all those japanese planes added, of course with the Hell Diver :D. When ever it gets added I'll make runs with it.
