There's also a 2501 patch which as I left for the office had downloaded 50% of it at a whooping 4GB. I suspect that the latest patch is the tales of valor thingy.

BTW, Tales of Valor is out in the stores today in the UK.

I just tried it out in skirmish mode...  IA has been improved quite a bit.   It seems to use combined arms, much better now.  I was chasing some engineers with a Stuart tank, only to be lead into an ambush of AT guns..

How's the direct fire feature where you can take control of a unit and fire it?

I've heard about that, however I haven't tried it out.  I've seen some messages boards mentioning using direct control to point and aim your units at targets.  But I'm not sure why that is needed when you can point and click on any target to have your unit attack it.  I suppose it would be useful to keep a tank facing a certain way as it attacks a target trying to flank it.  But for the most part game seems to do that automatically anyway.

If your internet connection is going through a router, make sure to open up the ports they recommend.  My download went from 4.1kB/s to 150.0kB/s  just opening up one of the ports.

Biy, the AI at the expert level now is downright brutal. It gives no room for mistakes. Also, the German infantry seems much better than the British infantry (not that it was much to speak of). but enough of them can chew through my Sherman Fireflies like they were made out of paper.

But the Kangaroo is nice addition to the Brits. All I have to do is loaded with infantry, go out hunting for German infatry and take their weapons, quality!
