Absolutely. If you don't do anything else, you owe a visit to Black Viper's site. I was able to decrease the number of processes running on all the machines in my house by almost 50%. Vista especially, is completely bloated with useless crap processes that Viper identifies. It felt so good to blow all that stuff away. Makes Vista almost appear normal.
I just found that yesterday that there is a sequel to FSAutoStart: AlacrityPC. I loaded it up last night. It even shuts down the desktop while gaming. I'm now gaming with 26 processes running! Fantastic!
Humm, .....I'll look into it but I'm pretty sure I already have a clean running machine.
It was awhile back that I had found BLACK VIPER and manually removed many programs running in the back ground. When I installed IOrbit's program it found lots of things that needed to be fixed and the process seemed to be complete for me.
The Game booster came out from thee same company and I found after running it the first time it only helped out a little..... probably because of what I did prior.
What I liked about IOrbits Game Booster was that it was all a one click action ....but maybe AlacrityPC is a more in depth product.
Either way...If your not to computer savvy, I'd recommend IOrbit to get yourself started.
Edit: Here's another thing you might consider:
To help you machine play the game smoother on your machine, delete some of the skins you don't use or want to see in game.
Skuzzy said there are to many people running all of them that shouldn't and could cause problems because the HD has to access that information to often... specially in a furball with lots of different skins if you understand.
