One important thing we found about Dell Support is if you call them before 2pm PST, you are guaranteed to get a US support person and very good service.  If you're unlucky and call after that time, you'll get Apu trying to sell you an extended warranty and a Slushie.

 There is nuting wrong with wanting to cell you an extended warranty. It would be in your best intrest to spend the 99.95 for the 6month warranty. What would happen if you computer would say ... hapeen to get a virus?? Well I teyell you waat I wheel sell to you the 9 month warranty for only 109.99 fairly cheep if I say so.

They were trying to sell a 3 year extended warranty for $375 and they insisted the Slushie machine was $100 extra.
